My 2021 goals!

January 02, 2021

Hey everyone! It's a new year, which means a new adventure begins! I've always found it productive to have a list of goals, a plan, for the days ahead of me. It's sort of like plotting out a book before actually writing it, and this is what I do instead of yearly resolutions! I've come up with 10 things that really matter to me, and divided them in to three parts.

Goal 1: Personal

A) Reading and Writing: I want to make it a point to finish reading at least 60 books this year. Last year, I read 49 books; I'm almost done with the 50th right now! When it comes to writing, I am working on a fictional world full of characters and a little magic. I'm also working on a fan-fiction, as it's much easier to write about characters that already have a personality and a universe that's already made

B) Studying: I've never really had an issue with studying; I just hope I never will. This year I don't want to lose more than 3 marks in any subject.

C) Blogging: I want to post at least thrice a month. This means three posts full of value, and good language.

D) Personal Development: Anger control, less procrastination and more smiling!

Goal 2: Physical

A) Working out: This is going to be really exciting as lots of my favourite YouTubers have uploaded monthly calendars for workouts, stretch challenges and more!

B) Running: Ah, yes! This is my favourite form of exercising, and I run every other day. This year, I want to complete 180 km of jogging in 12 months. I'm aiming for a half-marathon (21 km) this year!

C) Eating: This is easy; I want to eat healthy! I bet everyone says that, and I hope I'll stick with this goal.

Goal 3: Arts

A) Dancing: I've been learning on my own, and following along some videos lately and hope to come up with one video a month! I'm really going to take this seriously this year.

B) Music: I started playing the piano as well as singing along to the tune! I don't sound that bad, and I want to dedicate 15 minutes every day to this. It's crucial if I want to improve!

C) Drawing: This year, I'm bent up on drawing comics as well as watercolour painting. The black and white illustrations that you see are sometimes hand-drawn by me, and I might make a post on that soon! Drawing comics gives me an amazing look into facial expressions and watercolour is something I'm learning now.

So these are my 2021 goals; I hope you enjoyed reading this! What are your goals? Did you complete last years' resolutions? Let me know in the comments!
